Extend can be used to:

  • Specify a logical partition to fill the remainder of an extended partition. To do this, set this component to true, and set the component: Setup/DiskConfiguration/Disk/CreatePartitions/Extend to false.

  • Specify an existing partition to fill the remainder of the hard disk.

    Note

    On a new Windows® installation, to specify a new partition to fill the remainder of the disk, use the component: Setup/DiskConfiguration/Disk/CreatePartitions/Extend, and leave this component empty.

true

Specifies that the selected partition is extended to fill the remainder of the hard disk.

false

Specifies that the selected partition is not extended to fill the remainder of the hard disk.

Note

Extensible firmware interface (EFI)-partition types cannot be extended.
