Add Updates to an Image (Standard 7 SP1)

7/8/2014

Once a Windows Embedded Standard 7 image is deployed, it is important to keep that image up to date by applying updates to the device. In order to reduce any potential risks, we recommend that you test all updates before applying them to devices in the field.

The recommended method of applying updates is to create a configuration set with Image Configuration Editor and then use DISM to apply that configuration set. For more information, see Maintain an Image Using a Configuration Set and DISM.
