EWF Configuration in Image Configuration Editor (Standard 7 SP1)

The EWF Configuration Settings window in Image Configuration Editor can be used to configure EWF as a Standard 7 component during the offline design phase.
The following table explains the items shown in the EWF Configuration Settings window.

Disable Defragment Service |
|
Enables or disables System Restore. |
|
Enables or disables Prefetch, a tool that loads application data into memory before it is demanded. |

Enables or disables Superfetch. Superfetch improves on Prefetch by monitoring which applications you use the most and preloading those into your system memory so they will be ready when you need them. |

Type of EWF configuration |
|
Specifies the name and location of paging file(s). |
|
Protect Boot Configuration Data (BCD) Partition |
|
Set properties of the volumes to protect using EWF. |
|
