Use this procedure to remove software updates and software update bundles from the Updates Publisher 2011 repository.

To delete software updates and software update bundles

  1. In the Updates Publisher 2011 console, click Updates. The workspace is displayed at the bottom of the navigation pane in the console.

  2. Locate the software updates and bundles that you want to delete using the following methods:

    • Click All software updates to display all the software updates and bundles in the Updates Publisher 2011 repository.

    • Click a manufacturer folder to see only those software updates and bundles that are related to the manufacturer.

    • Click a product folder to see only those software updates and bundles that are related to a product of a manufacturer.

    • Use Search to list only those software updates and bundles that include the search term.

  3. Select the software updates and bundles that you want to remove from the Updates Publisher 2011 repository.

  4. On the Home tab, Click Delete, and then confirm that you want to delete the software updates and bundles that you selected.

If the software update or bundle has not been published, Updates Publisher 2011 asks you to confirm that you want to delete the software update or bundle.

If a software update has been published and has not expired, Updates Publisher 2011 warns you that the software update has already been published. In this case you should expire the software update and publish it again before deleting the software update from the Updates Publisher 2011 repository. For more information, see How to Expire Unreferenced Software Updates.

The software updates and bundles that you selected are now removed from the Updates Publisher 2011 repository. To delete vendor or product folders, see How to Create a Vendor or Product Folder
