Removes a disk from a storage pool.

Detailed Description

The Remove-DPMDisk cmdlet removes a disk from a storage pool. A storage pool in System Center 2012 – Data Protection Manager (DPM) consists of a set of disks where the DPM server stores replicas, shadow copies, and transfer logs for protected data sources.

To get a list of all disks on a DPM server, use the Get-DPMDisk cmdlet.

Example 1: Remove a disk from a storage pool

The first command uses the Get-DPMDisk cmdlet to retrieve the disks on a server, and stores them in the $DpmDisk variable.

The second command uses the Remove-DPMDisk cmdlet to remove the disks in $DpmDisk from the server storage pool.
