SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler Delegate

Represents the method that handles the RowUpdating event of a SqlCeDataAdapter.

Namespace: System.Data.SqlServerCe
Assembly: System.Data.SqlServerCe (in system.data.sqlserverce.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Delegate Sub SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler ( _
    sender As Object, _
    e As SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs _
)
'Usage
Dim instance As New SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler(AddressOf HandlerMethod)
public delegate void SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler (
    Object sender,
    SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs e
)
public delegate void SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler (
    Object^ sender,
    SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs^ e
)
/** @delegate */
public delegate void SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler (
    Object sender,
    SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs e
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

  • sender
    The source of the event.

Remarks

The handler is not required to perform any action, and your code should avoid generating exceptions or allowing exceptions to propagate to the calling method. Any exception that reaches the caller is ignored.

The handler may use the SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs to influence the processing of the updates. For example, the handler may skip the update of the current row or skip the update of all remaining rows. Note that the rows are updated in the order that they were received from the data source.

When you create a SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs delegate, identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate.
