Qty. per Unit of Measure Field, Item Unit of Measure Table
Specifies how many of the base unit of measure are contained in one unit of the item.
Example
If you keep an item on inventory in pieces of 1, then enter PCS in the Base Unit of Measure field. If you buy the item in boxes of 32, then define a unit of measure called BOX for which you enter 32 in the Qty. per Unit of Measure field.
If you keep an item on inventory in boxes of 32, then enter BOX in the Base Unit of Measure field. If you want to sell a single unit, define a unit of measure called PCS and enter 1/32 in the Qty. per Unit of Measure field. The value is automatically converted to 0.03125.
