Text Subheaders
To conserve space on the Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC, use text subheaders instead of group boxes to visually group items on a screen. Also, use text subheaders to clarify application data and functionality.
Appearance Attributes
The following illustration shows the appearance for a text subheader on a Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC.
Label Attributes
Limit text subheaders to one or two words. Use the 8pt Tahoma bold font and sentence capitalization.
Develoment Considerations
Consider the following development conditions when you include text subheaders in an application:
- Text sub headers take up valuable screen space and should only be used when needed for user clarity.
- Text sub headers are not a standard control. They consist of a label control and a line, either owner-drawn or from the toolbox. Independent software vendors (ISVs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have no easy way of duplicating the Microsoft look and feel.
