3.1.1.2.2 Supported Queries

When reading from or writing to a table, and for historical reasons, when requesting a table's metadata, clients provide a query, which selects a subset of the entries in the table according to constraints on a set of properties in the table. Each table's definition (see section 3.1.1.3) includes a list of one or more query templates, or rules for constructing a query on that table. A query that is constructed according to a query template that is listed in a table's definition is known as a supported query for that table.
