Project Profitability (Power BI Report)
APPLIES TO: Generally available in Business Central 2024 release wave 2 (version 25.1).
The Project Profitability report offers statistics for each of your projects, and shows how actual costs perform against prices.
The statistics help you identify projects with low or no profit, and can point you to where to make changes.
Use the report
Leadership teams use the report to identify high and low performing projects, and make changes to ensure profit goals are met.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The Project Profitability report includes the following KPIs:
- Actual Profit
- Actual (Total Cost)
- Actual Profit Margin %
- Billable (Invoiced Price)
- Budget (Total Price)
- Budget (Total Cost)
- Budget Profit Margin %

The report uses data from the following tables in Business Central:
- Project
- Project Ledger Entries
- Tasks
