WSUS Admins, happy Monday!

I wanted to remind you that a new Microsoft product family called Silverlight will be available to WSUS customers this Tuesday, January 22nd.

Silverlight blends animation, audio/video, and interactivity on your Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox web browsers. For more information about the product, installers and updates availability, please read the blog that the folks of the MU team have posted:

    Cecilia,  Question: why is it that a corporate WSUS administrator can update Zune software but yet they can’t use WSUS to update Office Communicator 2005?  Kind of seems like Microsoft has shafted those of us that implemented MOC 2005 over those who went out and bought a Zune.  Unbelievable!  What is more troubling is that you CAN update Office Communicator 2007, so I assume that it’s not that difficult for Microsoft to add product support for Office Communicator 2005.  Seriously, WSUS is trying to push all Microsoft's new stuff (Zune, SilverLight, etc) but yet MOC 2005 administrators are being left out of all the fun.  At least make it so that we can import MOC 2005 hotfixes from the Windows Update catalog so we can self serve.   This is just bizarre, please help!
