Office 365 Developer Patterns and Practices (PnP)–November 2015 release

We are happy to announce the availability of Office 365 Dev PnP November 2015 release. Please see following blog post from the dev.office.com for the detailed release notes and additional resources around the latest release..

Notice. As part of the November release we also released new starter kit called PnP Partner Pack, which is great reference solution for demos or for your own customizations. It demonstrates multiple different topics around the PnP guidance all bundled into one documented solution. You can find PnP Partner Pack from dedicated GitHub repository at https://github.com/OfficeDev/PnP-partner-pack.

Thanks for everyone who contributed for this release. You are making a difference! Next release will be on 4th of December. You can also always follow up on the development from ‘dev’ branch of each PnP repository.

November monthly community call was also kept on 10th of November. You can find recording of this call from PnP Channel 9 section. Monthly community calls are open for anyone from the community and you can download invite for these at https://aka.ms/OfficeDevPnPCall.

You can also find this video from PnP Channel 9 video blog.

Notice that all the latest communications around PnP are done at the dev.office.com blog, so please make sure that you follow what’s happening there as well.

Other recent resources around PnP program

Few additional resources around the PnP program. Since early October, we have started new weekly web cast series, which has already 6 released videos. See following resources for covered materials.

What is Office 365 Developer Patterns and Practices (PnP) program?

PnP is community driven open source project where Microsoft and external community members are sharing their learning's around implementation practices for Office 365 and SharePoint on-premises (add-in model). Active development and contributions happen our GitHub project under Dev branch and each month there will be a master merge (monthly release) with more comprehensive testing and communications.

This is work done by the community for the community without any actual full time people. It’s been great to find both internal and external people who are willing to assist and share their learning's for the benefit of others. This way we can build on the common knowledge of us all. Currently program is facilitated by Microsoft, but already at this point we have multiple community members as part of the Core team and we are looking to extend the Core team with more community members.

If you have any questions, comments or feedback around PnP program, please use the PnP Yammer group at https://aka.ms/OfficeDevPnPYammer.
