System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 Licensing
Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 requires a Server License for each management server and a Management License (ML) for each managed Operating System Environment (OSE). The ML is offered in Enterprise and Standard Editions for management of server OSE, and in a Client Edition for management of clients and other OSEs not running server operating systems. An Enterprise Server ML is required for full application and server management, and a Standard Server ML can be used for operating system and basic workload management.

Hi, I have a query about SCOM workload management feature. Does basic workload management in SCOM 2007 R2 provide constraining server resources such as CPU, memory, disk and network I/O per application? Does it allow running multiple workloads on a single server (physical or virtual) but with dynamically assigned server resources depending upon application workload peaks and troughs say a la Silverline? http://silverline.librato.com
