Welcome to the UDM Track

Welcome to the User and Device Management (UDM) Track of the Building Clouds Blog. This new track will provide information about UDM as it relates to Microsoft’s People Centric IT strategy.

Hi, I’m Jeff Buller, a Program Manager on the Windows Server and System Center (WSSC) Customer Architecture and Technology (CAT) team. I have worked at Microsoft for 22 years and held several positions covering a wide spectrum of Microsoft’s enterprise products and technologies. Over the last three years I have been focused on Windows client, desktop virtualization and device management solutions.

With major industrial trends like Consumerization of IT and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), addressing UDM is a high priority for many organizations. Microsoft recently announced at Tech-Ed that we are enhancing our UDM solution capabilities with the upcoming product releases of Windows Server 2012 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2 and Windows Intune. These new UDM solution capabilities and how they assist organizations address key challenges like settings management, application delivery and security will be the focus of this track.

Our efforts in UDM are very exciting and I looking forward to blogging in this area! Stay tuned for future blog posts in the coming weeks.

Jeff
