Virtual Networking with Hyper-V
For those of you who have begun working with Hyper-V, it's important to understand the changes from other, non-hypervisor based solutions like Virtual Server. Ben Armstrong has posted a nice walkthrough on his blog: Understanding Networking with Hyper-V
In addition, you may also be working with Hyper-V on a laptop where the typical connection is wireless. Hyper-V does not support wireless connections as this is not a typical server scenario, however there are a couple of workarounds including RRAS and bridging connections. John Paul Cook has a nice walkthrough of these options here: https://sqlblog.com/blogs/john_paul_cook/archive/2008/03/23/using-wireless-with-hyper-v.aspx
