Open to students who intend to study full-time in the year following the award of the scholarship in one of the following -
-the final year of the Bachelor of Engineering program in the field of software engineering; or
-the final year of the Bachelor of Information Technology program; or
-a dual program including either of them; or
-the Bachelor of Information Technology Honours program.

Awarded annually based on merit, as demonstrated by academic achievement in their program to date; and an interest in software engineering or information technology; and personal qualities, including leadership potential; and other evidence as may be deemed relevant to future success in the information technology or information engineering profession. Thesis mentoring may be offered.
