Cathy McBride's Favorite Bug
A number of years ago I was working with a development team that had been acquired by my company. They were very resistant to outside advice or direction and I am a tester. Thus we butted heads from the very beginning. At one point in the madness to get a release out the door, I found a crash bug. Easy to repro and embarrassing, but no data loss. Had it not been for our contentious relationship, I might not have pushed it all the way to the Vice President. But I did, and when I reproduced it on his laptop, it rebooted his machine. Needless to say, the bug got fixed.
