MSDN Community Content

MSDN recently added Wiki functionality to the portion of the site dealing with Visual Studio 2005 and .NET Framework 2.0. This already looks like it is going to be a great resource - at the time of this post, there were almost 1000 topics with Community Content from over 300 contributors. You can read more about it at MSDN Community Content FAQ.

Here's a sample screenshot of a community content block on an MSDN library page (click the image to see a full size version).

Hope this helps.

It's kind of funny that the display of the Wiki part is broken in IE7.

Chris: thanks for your comment. Are you saying that the Wiki display is broken on IE7 on your machine or in the IE7 screenshot that I included in the blog post? If you can give me more details I might be able to route your comments to the right person in MSDN. Hope this helps. -Mike

It's an excellent feature to have added the possibility of "inserting" in the MSDN pages for example personnal examples Just a little question : why is it possible for the BOL Server 2008 and not Sql Server 2005 ? It's important for me as i would want to "post" some SMO example and i can't for SMO 2005. In fact, it would be useful as the SMO 2005 documentation is "poor" and sometimes not correct. SMO forum is not important, but many questions are often coming for the absence of examples in the BOL. Anyway, i know that's really difficult to provide a "perfect" and complete documentation especially for a so particular subject. If it's possible, could you explain me how to add some code examples for the SMO part of the Sql Server 2005 BOL ? I've succeeded once on SMO 2008. Have a nice day
