TMG Basics – should we use this blog or a new one?

Hi all,

We thought it could be useful do create a series of blog posts about TMG basics (i.e. TMG 101). This would cover the different TMG features and concepts and walk people who are new to TMG through the first steps.

We thought of creating a new blog (called “TMG from the grounds up”) for these posts but we heard from a few people that they would rather that we post these articles in this blog (i.e. the TMG product team blog).

What do you prefer (please leave a comment)? Should we create a new blog, post to this one or both?

Thanks in advance for your feedback,

Ronit and Ori from the TMG team

Would prefer to stick to this one Ori, assuming it is not causing problems for those who write the blog. Having another area to review / search wouldn't really move it forward in my view.

Posting only to this forum will be fine by me. I think it will be useful to get the TMG101 info, might actually learn something new :)

I'd recommend sticking with this one, Ori. Looks like that is the general consensus anyway.  : )

Hi @all, posting to this forum. You can create a new category for RSS feeds, so that newbies can only subscribe to the 101 article. regards Marc Grote

I agree with previous commenters, please use this blog and a new category / tag. btw, Deb Shinder has been writing good stuff on TMG 101 on isaserver.org like www.isaserver.org/.../TMG-Back-Basics-Part3.html and www.isaserver.org/.../Five-Dumb-Things-Admins-Do-with-TMG-Firewall.html.

I too would continue on this blog keeping all TMG info in one location. It will not be long befor the new 101 users become experts them selves and benefit from all info being posted on this blog.

I like the idea of a one stop shop for TMG insights and tips.
