Jul. 27 - Aug. 2 Hot-Fix KB articles Weekly Release - Windows Legacy Products

Last week, 7 Windows legacy products related hot-fix KB articles were released, including 1 for Windows XP, 1 forWindows Server 2003, 2 forSystems Center, and 3 for Internet Explorer. Below are the details:

 

Windows XP - 1 KB article:

· 971913  You cannot install a Windows Installer package under the Local System context on a Windows XP-based computer that has update KB956572 installed

 

Windows Server 2003 - 1 KB article:

· 971383  Data loss occurs when the Winsock "recv" function returns 0 bytes if both the client-side and the server-side applications run on the same computer that is running Windows Server 2003

System Center - 2 KB articles:

· 971413  Multicast OS deployments fail with a hash value error when the Windows OS WIM file size is larger than 4 GB in System Center Configuration Manager 2007

· 971583  Packages on Distribution Points are not updated with the latest source version in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 systems

Internet Explorer - 3 KB articles:

· 972844  You have to re-enter user credentials after you send credentials through the XMLHttpRequest object and view the page in a new tab in Internet Explorer 8

· 973926  The home page of Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista is reset after you install the cumulative security update for Internet Explorer MS09-014 (KB963027)

· 973927  Error message in Internet Explorer 8 when certain third-party Internet Explorer add-ons are installed: “Page cannot be displayed”
