Lesley's Bio

Hi, my name is Lesley Bacon. I am a Program Manager as part of the “Customer Strike Team” for the Embedded Windows team at Microsoft. I work with Shayna Begun on all the Customer Pre-Release Programs for the team. What does that mean? You could say TAP/CTP and more. Our focus is to work closely with our customers and partners and ensure that they are involved in the product planning and development prior to the release of a product so that we can ensure the product meets the needs of our customer base. I joined this group in April 2008 but I’m not new to Microsoft, having been here since 1989. Yes, that ancient for Microsoft years. Prior to this team I’ve had previous roles in Premier Support and Customer Service and Support working with customers and Microsoft resources across the globe (follow the sun).

I’m a graduate of Seattle University and have a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics. I’ve spent most of my time in Washington but have traveled both domestic and internationally with Microsoft on a variety of different roles/projects. I am married to Martin and have two sons, Luke and Ayrtie who all keep me busy when not at work. Other hobbies are my baby grand piano, tennis and travel.
