DirectX Drum Machine in C#
A version of this code appeared recently on MSDN Belux, and it was so cool I asked Ianier Munoz if he'd mind turning it into a column for my Coding 4 Fun series.... lucky for me, he said yes and here we are

Is there a reason why the source code is an MSI? That makes no sense to me and, like most unnecessary and undocumented MSI files, the "cancel" button was clicked as soon as possible. - Anonymous

Shannon, the original article has a download link to the source code in a ZIP file. You can find the original article at: http://www.microsoft.com/belux/nl/msdn/community/columns/munoz/winrhythm.mspx... - Anonymous

Whats so wrong with an MSI file? If you except the defaults (in this case) it neatly installed this example in my "My Documents/MSDN" folder along with the code examples MSI's I had installed earlier. I'm not quite sure why it would garner an immediate delete. Oh yeah. This is pretty cool code for demonstrating coding DirectX but as a musician/coder I'm not real sure its of much use musically.
