brian regan

thursday evening my wife and my 10 year old son went to see brian regan with 10 friends.  since i just saw him and he's got a new comedy central special coming out tonight, i decided my fourth influence post should be about brian.  i first heard brian regan's comedy over 15 years ago with my wife.  he was extremely funny without being raunchy (which i don't make a prerequiste in most of the things i find humorous) and doesn't typically make fun of others.  he is extremely gracious and humble and without a clear motive as to why (personal values, religious belief, or some combination of these) but also lets a surprising amount of his world view and beliefs through his act.  if you ever have the chance to see this extremely talented comedian live, go to see him.
