Account Technology Specialist
This week I have officially joined the Enterprise and Partner Group in Australia. What this means in practice is that I am no longer responsible or work within Microsoft Services (Application Delivery) . Instead I am assisting specific accounts (large Microsoft customers) technically on a breadth of Microsoft technologies. This means I will get a broader vision of the industries I will work within (Financial services and some global commercial companies) as well as work directly with customers in optimizing the infrastructure, business productivity and application development environments.
I'm still going to have an interest in communications, integration and application architecture in general, but this is an opportunity for me to skill up on areas I haven't had experience on, including Identity Lifecycle Management, Virtualisation, Unified Communications and Office/Sharepoint.
So far its been great but a wealth of information.
Ill post some more information as I learn....
