Episode #30: Straight Talk about Windows 7

It’s now been just over 2 months since I’ve been back from maternity leave and I’m happy to be able to share with you a new episode of the AlignIT IT Managers Podcast. While I was away, Rick and the team worked diligently to improve the format of the podcast. The upside to the work that he did is that now the host (that would be me!) has much more hands on involvement in the show, right from the topic and guests to the post-production editing. The downside is that it’s taken a lot longer to get this episode out as I learn some new skills. But here it is!

In this episode of the AlignIT IT Manager Podcast, I talk separately with Rob Geller, Microsoft’s Senior Product Manager for Windows Client, and Stephen Rose, Microsoft’s Senior Community Manager for Windows Client. I speak to each about our latest client operating system – what’s new and can add value for businesses along with what’s compelling for IT shops. We also talk about some of the lessons learned and changes made with the release of Windows 7 as compared to when Windows Vista launched.
