Next up: Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver!

Wow… Calgary was a blast, and after three great sessions it is great to be home… temporarily.

The next two weeks are a whirlwind of craziness.  First up, I am presenting two sessions on System Center in Toronto on Monday.  At the end of the day I hop into my car to head to the airport to catch my flight to Edmonton.  Tuesday and Wednesday I am presenting sessions on Windows Server during the day, and Tuesday evening I am doing a session on virtualization for the Edmonton Microsoft User Group (www.emug.ca).  No rest for these old bones!  At the end of the day Wednesday I run to the airport to catch a flight back to Toronto, because Thursday and Friday I am teaching my course From Virtualization to the Private Cloud.

While I will be in my home town, I will not be home; because I am landing at midnight on Wednesday, and have to be downtown at 7:00am on Thursday, I will just get a hotel room in the city… so when I joke that I live at the Marriott you may be beginning to understand Winking smile

At the end of the day on Friday I do get to head home… back to Oakville, but only for a day.  Saturday evening I am flying to Vancouver where I am consolidating trips… Monday I am teaching Windows Server 2012, and then later in the week I am teaching my Private Cloud course.  I would like to say that in the middle I will have time to relax, but I expect I will be working to tweak my sessions, as well as prepare a couple of blog articles.

If you are in the Edmonton area you should come by my session Tuesday evening.  I was actually asked to develop the content for the Calgary Virtualization User Group (www.cvug.org) and presented it last week.  One of the sales reps at Microsoft told me that a customer from Edmonton really wanted to go, but couldn’t make the trip, and would I be willing to do it in Edmonton?  I’ll be in town, the EMUG folks are happy to host, so let’s do it!

For the first part of the meeting I will be comparing and contrasting VMware’s vSphere and Microsoft’s Virtualization & Private Cloud, and for the second part I will be discussing how to manage a heterogeneous virtualization environment using Microsoft’s System Center 2012.  Needless to say it should be an interesting meeting, hopefully evoking a lot of great conversation and debate between the members.
