Licensing 6 is beginning to look good when compared to Red Hat
From this article in eweek:

But... how many times have you called customer support for Windows? In 10 years I haven't called it once. Most problems can be solved by google, other sources.
From that POV, licensing 6 becomes less and less attractive, because why pay for new software if the 'old' software works ok still? To get the successor of the new software more cheaper? Do you know for sure? No. - Anonymous

Because the world is moving on fast - those satisified with 'good enough' software will become dinosaurs whilst other exploit the latest advancements.
