Creating a Custom Kernel Transport (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

You can create a custom kernel transport.
To create a custom transport, you must first create the files for the transport.
- Use the ICcTransport and ICcTransportStream interfaces to design your transport. These interfaces contain methods required to create the desktop-side part and the device-side part of the transport.
For more information, see Transport Interfaces. - After you have developed a custom transport, create the XSL files that specify the new transport for installation in the datastore, and register the transport DLL. The new transport XSL specification becomes part of the default datastore.
- After you build the transport and create the install files for the datastore, add your transport to the Target Device Connectivity Options Dialog Box in the IDE. If needed, you can also add the new transport to an SDK.

As with other kernel services, kernel transport services must be hosted by the Core Connectivity Service Host.
