How to Use the BSP for the Renesas US7750R HARP (Aspen) SDB (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/5/2010

You can use the sample board support package (BSP) provided by Windows Embedded CE 6.0 for the Renesas US7750R HARP (Aspen) standard development board (SDB) to quickly evaluate Windows Embedded CE operating system (OS) features.

An SDB is a hardware development system with which you can develop and test your OS design using a wide range of processors and peripherals. For more information, see Standard Development Board Design.

For more information about the sample BSPs included in Windows Embedded CE for SHx microprocessors, see SHx BSPs.

Hardware and Software Assumptions

  • You included support for SH4 microprocessors when you installed Platform Builder. If you did not, reinstall Platform Builder and include support for the SH4 microprocessor.
  • You are downloading a Windows Embedded CE run-time image to a Renesas US7750R HARP (Aspen) SDB.

To use the BSP for the Renesas US7750R HARP (Aspen) SDB, follow the steps in the table below.

Step Topic

1. From the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 OS Design Wizard, select the Renesas US7750R HARP SDB: SH4 BSP.

If you are not sure which configuration to use, select the Renesas US7750R HARP (Aspen) SDB BSP, the PDA Device design template, and the Enterprise Web Pad variant.

Accept the defaults for the other pages of the wizards.
