Graphics Hardware Requirements for the User Interface (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

The graphics effects for a Network Media Device (NMD) user interface place requirements on the NMD display driver. The following list shows the capabilities that a display driver must support in order to work with the Sample UI.

  • Alpha blending
  • Transparency
  • 2D source and destination bit blits
  • 2D stretch and resizing bit blits

You can achieve the highest performance and best user experience if the NMD display hardware provides native support for the capabilities listed above. If the display hardware does not support these capabilities then the display driver must emulate them in software.
