The procedures described in this section for setting up and configuring the ERP Connector Solution Starter for Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 assume that you are running the mySAP™ ERP solutions and Project Server on separate servers, and that Project Server is a test or demonstration system on a single server. The main setup and configuration processes are installing the components for mySAP ERP, and then installing and configuring the Project Server components.

For demonstrating or testing the ERP Connector with Project Server, you do not need to install the ABAP™ scripts that drop XML request files from a mySAP ERP system. You can manually drop XML request files to a drop folder to test all of the ERP Connector components on Project Server. |

Installing the Components for mySAP ERP Tools included in mySAP ERP enable you to create the component framework that you need. The Project 2007 SDK download includes the ABAP source code that you add to these components.

Configuring the ERP Connector You set some initial configuration settings for the connection and logon to Project Server during the installation of the ERP Connector. You can also set other options in the XML configuration files for language, debugging, logging events, handling XML requests, and managing plug-in components.
