Location Code Field, Prod. Order Component Table
Copies the location code from the corresponding field on the production order line when you calculate or refresh the production order to calculate the component need for the production order
However, if you filled in the Components at Location field on the stockkeeping unit card or, alternatively, a global value in the Components at Location field in the Manufacturing Setup window, then the program uses that information instead.
If none of the Components at Location fields are filled, but the work or machine center used on the first routing line has been set up for warehouse handling of components (on the Warehouse FastTab of the work/machine center card), then that location code, and its related bin codes, will be used instead.
Note
If the picking of components is performed through warehouse activities using bin codes, then this location code field plays a role according to the setup of the To-Production Bin Code and the Open Shop Floor Bin Code, either globally on the location card or on the work or machine center card of the resource where the component is consumed.
You can also enter a value in the field manually. Any bin setup of the location in question will then apply to the component line. If the component is not located in a specific location, or related bins, leave the field blank.
