Income/Balance Field, G/L Account Table

Specifies whether a general ledger account is an income statement account or a balance sheet account.

New accounts are automatically assigned the type of the account on the preceding line or card, but you can change this.

Determine the account type by choosing the field and selecting one of two options:

Income Statement

Balance Sheet

If you do not enter anything, the account type will be Income Statement.
