How to: Send Data to Excel

You can send data from any List, Worksheet, or ListPlus page in Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Excel with the Send to function.

Important

Only data from tables is included when you export data to Excel. For example, when you export data from the Planning Worksheet page, the Warning column is displayed on the page but is not exported to Excel because this is a calculated field.

In the following procedure, you export sales journal lines to Excel. You can follow the steps in this procedure with any list or worksheet. You can also send a card to Excel. A worksheet is created for each FastTab.

To send data to Excel

  1. In the Search box, enter Sales Journals, and then choose the related link.

  2. In the Application menu Application Menu button in menu bar, choose Print & Send, and then choose Microsoft Excel.

A new workbook with the sales journal lines opens. The first two rows display company information and information about when the data was last updated.
