Parameters

  • methodname
    A string that specifies the SOAP method.
  • callback
    An AsyncCallback that represents the callback method.
  • state
    An object that can be used to access state information of the asynchronous operation.

Return Value

The IAsyncResult that identifies the asynchronous send operation.

methodname is null .

ArgumentException

The method specified by methodname is not marked with a SoapMethodAttribute attribute.

Remarks

If the specified method name is a valid SOAP method then the SOAP action is the value of the SoapAction property. Otherwise the method name becomes the SOAP action.
