Parameters

methodname
A string that specifies the SOAP method.

envelope
A SoapEnvelope that represents the SOAP message.

callback
An AsyncCallback that represents the callback method.

state
An object that can be used to access state information of the asynchronous operation.

Return Value

The IAsyncResult that identifies the asynchronous send operation.

Exceptions

Exception type	Condition
ArgumentNullException	methodname is null . -or- envelope is null .
ArgumentException	The method specified by methodname is not marked with a SoapMethodAttribute attribute.

The method specified by methodname is not marked with a SoapMethodAttribute attribute.

Remarks

If the specified method name is a valid SOAP method then the SOAP action is the value of the SoapAction property. Otherwise the method name becomes the SOAP action.
