Scanning to SharePoint Online in Office 365

You will need third party solution if your Multi-Function Printer (MFP) does not support scanning capability to Office365.

There is actually another option, which is to use the Mapped Drive to scan/upload the content to Office365.

You can map a drive letter on your desktop to the SharePoint Online site where you would like the scanned image to be saved.

How to configure and to troubleshoot mapped network drives that connect to SharePoint Online sites in Office 365 for enterprises

If you are looking for a third party solution to scan to SharePoint Online, I can recommend Udocx (www.udocx.com), a software as a service that in addition to one click scanning converts the files to fully searchable PDF/A documents and allows for automatic integration into workflows.Cheers

Another option is our Scanning Enabler product https://store.office.com/scanning-enabler-WA104344296.aspx. Just navigate to the SharePoint Store and add the App.

    Hi there,

It's always great to find out people are actively searching for solutions in this area in order to fully utilize their SharePoint to the max.

Just like with anything, it's never perfect, but the team at GRADIENT has been in the Document Capture business for over 20 years, and has developed a simple plug n' play app that you literally download from the Office Store into your SharePoint called, GScan Online (www.gscanonline.com), and you can directly scan from virtually any device, ocr-index, create full-text searchable pdfs all within your SharePoint, never having to leave your browser as it operates on an Html5 platform. Use any image file (.jpg, .png, .bmp, .tiff, even PDFs). Once you sign in, you can configure it to do as many automatic adjustments needed with imaging, barcode recognitions (1d and 2d) on any angle and skewed in anyway, automatically have your pages segmented, or even put them all together at once.
Definitely worth checking out, as it's available for On-Premise and Office 365.
If you need any further tips or help, don't hesitate to contact GRADIENT, always happy to help.
    Hope this helps,
    agnes

ps. you can try it out free, it's called GScan Online Lite, for up to 5 users and index 100 OCR pages :)
