Windows Server 2016 Improvements in Time Accuracy

In 2017, governments are requiring stricter time accuracy with regards to UTC for financial transactions.   We have improved the time accuracy in Window Server 2016 and under the right conditions, UTC time accurate to within ±1 millisecond, can be distributed throughout your domain.  Additionally, these improvements extend to Hyper-V where the same accuracy can be delivered to Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 Anniversary guests.

For all the details about these changes, measurements and best practices, please visit our TechNet article at https://aka.ms/WS2016Time

Accurate time is becoming increasingly more important not only for financial scenarios, but healthcare, IT, manufacturing, retail, and many other transaction based activities.  Provided you have a suitable environment, Windows Server can now support these types of workloads by distributing time accurate to within ±1 millisecond in your domain.
