MSDN Evening: Light Up the Web with Microsoft Silverlight
Announcing our next MSDN Evening on 31st of October on Microsoft Silverlight in Mechelen. If you want to see an example of a website using Silverlight, check out my previous post on the Quiksilver Pro France website.
MSDN Evening: Light Up the Web with Microsoft Silverlight
Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of media experiences and rich interactive applications (RIA’s) for the Web. It offers a flexible programming model that supports AJAX, VB, C#, Python, and Ruby, and integrates with existing Web applications. Even more, Silverlight supports fast, cost-effective delivery of high-quality and rich multimedia to all major browsers running on the Mac OS, Windows and (soon to be) the Linux platform. During this session you’ll be introduced to the benefits and features of Silverlight and the Microsoft development environment that supports creating Silverlight applications. This session will cover Silverlight 1.0 and explain the new possibilities with Silverlight 1.1.
