Tip of the Day: Convenience Rollup Releasing on 5/16/2016 for Win7/Server 2008 R2
Today’s Tip…
Tired of seeing hundreds of updates?
On May 16th, Microsoft released the convenience rollup for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 containing all the security and non-security fixes released since the release of Windows 7 SP1 that are suitable for general distribution, up through April 2016.
Only one update needed to get Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 current to April 2016!
Install the update or inject it into your Windows 7 SP1 and/or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 media. The update is optional, so it’s up to you whether or not you want to save time patching your Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 systems.
Only Pre-requisite: April 2015 Servicing Stack Update – KB3020369
