Microsoft's SAP R/3 System In Production on Beta 2!

Microsoft is running our mission critical SAP system on SQL Server 2005 Beta 2! The SAP R/3 system, which handles Microsoft’s worldwide Sales, worldwide Finances, worldwide HR and American Payroll, was deployed internally on SQL Server 2005 Beta 2 in late August. We’ll highlight our internal use of SQL Server 2005 at the PASS conference in Orlando at the end of September.


Mark Your Calendar: PASS 2004 (September 28 - October 1, Orlando)

The PASS Community Summit is the largest event of the year dedicated exclusively to SQL Server users. The 2004 Pass Community Summitwill focus on the theme “Prepare for SQL Server 2005” and is expecting to draw more than thousands of SQL Server professionals.

    32 bit or 64 bit?

    We're currently running 32 bit. As we prepare to look at upgrading R/3 to Unicode, we'll be investigating 64 bit hardware.
