Update to SCCM2007 Client Bits Download Proxy Issue

Last Wednesday I commented on an issue we ran into where the System Center Configuration Manager install might fail because it is unable to download the client bits.  As a workaround we advised people to turn on “Automatically detect settings” in Internet Explorer options to allow the download to succeed.  Well, I'm happy to announce that we now have the SCCM 2007 RTM Eval on the Download site updated with the version which will NOT run into the proxy issue.  So to sum it up, yes, you still need access to the client bits but you shouldn't run into the issue where you must enable “Automatically detect settings” in order for the Internet download to work.  And in case you missed the original post you can view it here.

Hello, i'm getting another trouble with this step of the SCCM setup. I've got a proxy, with username and password. The setup seems to cannot pass over it. I've just to go home and do thid work .. at home. For the further version, do you think it is possible to do theses steps at work ? (better to implement...) or having a link on Ms site to download theses multiple files ?
