Online from Thailand
I'm writing this post from the 3rd floor of a condo building in Bangkok Thailand. I am on vacation but today my wife has to update her Thai ID card which involves a lot of waiting in a government office. Since I'm not allowed out of the place we're staying without a handler (don't speak enough Thai to get along..), I have borrowed one of our friend's computers to surf the web. I saw there are a number of new posts on VCBlog so I figured I'd mention them (in reverse chronological order).
- VS 2005 SP1 is released.
- Peter-Michael Osera posts about one of the upcoming Orcas features, Vista-style file dialog support in MFC.
- Damien Watkins posts about a problem we had with bugs reported on the Connect web site.
- A post that points to a previously mentioned tool that converts Managed C++ code to C++/CLI syntax (be sure to note the caveats about the level of support for the tool...).
- And finally, Andreea Isac posts about the work she's doing to convert our build.exe/nmake method of building the libraries to use the new MSBuild technology.
