Automatically fix error 1079 in Windows (KB 2478117)

If you receive the following error message

“Error 1079: The account specified for this service is different from the account specified for other services running in the same process”

and services fail to start on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 7, then you can fix it with a Microsoft fixit 50671.

    I am using Windows 8 Consumer Review and it says this does not apply to your system. Did not work.

    Didn't work for me - audio services still won't start

    Same issue. Windows audio services can't start. Always error code 1079
