Print blog begins!

The print team has created a new TechNet blog for discussing printing related topics. Our primary goal is to make this a highly efficient and searchable way for customers to get at the wealth of information we have published in various places. The following list is a subset of topics that we have discussed and are currently considering blogging about:

· Information about new KB articles

· Setup and migration how-to guides

· Tips about debugging printing-related issues

· Links to related blogs and articles being published by other teams

· Other Print related issues

Are there any troubleshooting tools available for Win 2008 R2 to troubleshoot printspooler crashes? We see there is a tool available for Win 2003 Print spooler crashes ( adplus.vbs), but unable to find one for win 2008 R2. Also, is there a tool like cleanspl.exe to completely delete all the printers in the Win 2008 R2. Please advice. Thanks.

I have a first gear Print server PS-110 [2 port server with 2 parallel ports] with software for windows XP. I am converting from XP to win 7. My problem is that the first gear software will not run on Win-7. When I install the printer server on my XP system it crate two printer ports [PS326628_P1 and PS326628_P2], the two ports go to the same IP Address and the Print server will direct the information to the respective printer. I found a paper that explains that I need to create a TCP/IP port in win-7 “printers and faxes”. Wall win-7 does not allow me to create more than one port / IP Address.

Question #1: How do I create more than one port /IP Address in win-7 “printers and faxes”?
Question #2: How do I assign each printer to its port on the PS110?
