Microsoft is engaged deeply in the local ecosystem of Pakistan to help students, developers and startups to achieve more. As part of its community service, Microsoft has launched various programs including DreamSpark, BizSpark, technical trainings, Microsoft Student Partners (MSP) and many more.

There are around 190 MSPs from universities across Pakistan who are highly technical individuals, evangelizing technology at their campuses from the platform of Microsoft. These MSPs are appreciated time to time by Microsoft by various means on the basis of their performance as compared to their fellow MSPs within Pakistan and worldwide.

Sarah Ahmad is a young Microsoft Student Partner from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore who was recently awarded the title of MSP Hero, one out of 2 in Middle East & Africa region by Microsoft acknowledging her efforts for the IT community, Microsoft Virtual Academy certifications, technical trainings and helping out community members within and outside her university. She was officially invited by Microsoft to attend annual MEA MSP Summit in Egypt.

In the picture above Sarah is receiving the Hero MSP award 2016 shield from Uzair Qadar (DX lead Pakistan).

Sarah Ahmad has also been featured in a Girls Who code video on Microsoft Channel 9 with 12 other MSPs from the Middle East & Africa region as part of women empowerment initiative of Microsoft. In the video, girls share their story on how they started coding and their experience with it.
