Noah's Ark Discovered in Iran?
When I was born my grandmother started a Noah’s Ark collection for me. I’ve grown up with literally hundreds of Noah’s Arks ranging from large enough for a 12yr-old child to fit into, to the size of a small bean with ivory animals you’d need a magnifying glass to see.
There have been many books on the topic of Noah’s Ark. The story is found in Jewish history, children’s stories, Biblical accounts, and even other cultures. One of my favorites is a fantasy fiction book, Noah by Ellen Taylor, of sex, gods, giants, and talking animals. There is also a Wikipedia entry on Noah. Naturally, I have an interest in keeping tabs on this part of our culture and heritage.
To that end, I’ve subscribed to Feedster on Noah’s Ark. There are frequently expeditions to Turkey and other places trying to find a ~400 foot (now petrified) wooden boat on top of a mountain. Well, the most recent big news is that a team believes they’ve found it in Iran.

The Thinking Point
My wife tells me that I usually end posts like this with a thinking point or question, and this post just isn’t complete without one. So here it is… There have been ark discoveries since the ‘40s. This is the latest and greatest, but is this it? If it’s not, how does a 400’ boat looking structure end up on a mountain? What were sea creature fossils doing in a boat? Casatrophicism is the theory that through history there are specific events that are catastrophic in nature, giving a big push to the evolution of this world. Could Noah’s flood be one of these events? Maybe a meteor strike ending the dinosaurs is another such event. Around the world fossils are frequently found at stophic layers, there’s just rock/dirt, then a sudden layer teaming with fossils. Whatever it may have been, it’s apparent something dramatic happened. It’s mysteries like this that make our world just so fascinating to be a part of!
P.S. The Hebrew Bible never mentions what Noah’s wife’s name was. One mystery that I’ve solved is that I’ve learned that it was “Dawn”. Since one big event issued in the dawn of a new life. See: https://blogs.msdn.com/noahc/archive/2006/07/03/655723.aspx

Noah's ark wouldn't be fossilised since, if it existed, it would have been left on top of Mt Ararat only about 3 or 4 thousand years ago.Anonymous

Actually, christian scientists as well as secular scientists have determined that the flood took place approx. 30,000 years ago. Since I work for a seismic data company, I do know that petrification takes somewhere between 30,000 & 65,000 years. If this is so, the Bible & science are falling right in sync.Anonymous

I have three parts to my comment:
1. The fifth comment posted by Mehmet Fetih Akbulut amuses me in that if I check out the link, it will be in Turkish, and I would then have to find a site to translate the Turkish into English. I am sure you could do that, Noah Coad; but that taxes my computer skills beyond my current ability. Please post the translation if you decide to do this.
2. My favorite comment so far is the one from "Noah's descendant". It is inspirational and asks the right questions. Thank you to the author of that one.
3. As for Noahs, you, Noah Coad, are my favorite Noah next to or besides the original Noah in the Bible. Interesting that BOTH of your wives' names are Dawn! : )Anonymous

I have visited Zorats Karar in Armenia and ascended mount Ughtasar twice. Could this be the resting place of Noah's ark?Anonymous

Noah's arc is real and it happened long time ago. You all must believe it.
