Topic:           Sweet Technology presented by Paul Oliver

Presentation on how an established confectioner uses information and manufacturing technology to grow and prosper. A short presentation and a tour of the candy factory are scheduled.

Paul Oliver is the Director of the Information Technology at Just Born, Inc., a family owned confectionery business located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Paul joined Just Born in March of 2004. Paul has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field. Prior to joining Just Born, he was Director of Technology Services at the Associated Press (AP) with responsibilities for world wide content delivery services. Previously, Paul worked in the capacity of Project Manager, Senior Developer, and Projection Control Manager Computer Associates (CA), Wheelock (a small fire systems mfg), and 3M (Fiber Optics Division)

Details:         The meeting will include networking at 5:30, at 6:00 a light dinner, at 6:30pm a tour of the factory with a brief Q&A session at 7:45pm.

GMP Requirements for Touring Just Born

To ensure your visit to Just Born is enjoyable and safe, please observe the following “Good Manufacturing Practices” requirements for touring our production facility:

Lab coats, hairnets & beard nets and earplugs are to be worn in the plant and will be provided for your tour.

• For safety and sanitation reasons, wear only closed-toed shoes in the plant

(no clogs or sandals). Please wear comfortable walking shoes with socks

or pantyhose.

• A plain (no stones) wedding band is the only jewelry permitted in the plant, with the exception of a medic alert tag.

• Plan to wear long pants or a skirt with pantyhose. Bare legs are not

permitted in the plant.

Cameras, backpacks, purses, and other personal items cannot be brought into the plant, however pictures may be taken in the lobby.

To make your visit with us more pleasurable, please let us know beforehand if you have any dietary or gelatin restrictions, as you will have an opportunity to sample our products. We look forward to your visit!
