So last night I was browsing through the 'Microsoft daily'...and I  came across this 'This week in History' section! This ad shows that we've always been about interop, we've always been about changing lives for the better ;),

I am so fascinated by how much we evolve and by God, what an exponential world we live in!

In the world:

April 4, 1968 — Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is fatally shot while standing on the balcony of his hotel room in Memphis, Tennessee. He was 39 years old.

March 30, 1867 — U.S. Secretary of State William H. Seward signs a treaty to purchase Alaska from Russia for the sum of $7 million. Detractors in Congress deem this "Seward's Folly" despite the bargain price of around $.02 per acre. Gold would be discovered in the territory as early as 1898 and oil in 1968, a few years after statehood.

At Microsoft:

April 2, 1980 — Microsoft introduces the Z-80 SoftCard, a circuit board that plugs into the Apple II computer and allows Apple II users to run CP/M applications with only minor modifications, opening up a new array of business-oriented applications for the home user. But the wow part was the Alaska Deal, @ $0.02 per acre??? That's a steal!
