Using MFCMAPI to delete the hidden forward to delegates rule

When a meeting invite gets a NDR #4.4.7 or #5.1.7 (examples below) from a seemingly random person, it is most likely that the person was once a delegate of one of your requested meeting attendees but his/her mailbox has since been deleted.

Once you identify which user had the delegate, have the user clear their delegate list, restart Outlook, and re-create it.

If that doesn't work, you can use these steps to delete the hidden forward to delegates rule inside the user's mailbox:

1. Start MFCMAPI on a computer that has Outlook (or MAPI CDO) installed.

2. Go to Session -> Logon… and choose/create the MAPI profile that contains the mailbox with the delegate rule you wish to delete. You can log on with the mailbox credentials or administrator credentials that has full mailbox access to the mailbox.

3. Go to QuickStart and select Open Rules.

4. Find the rule whose PR_RULE_PROVIDER is SCHEDULE+ EMS Interface and delete it.

5. Have the user clear their delegate list, restart Outlook, and then add in their delegates again.
