Microsoft Official Courseware (MOC)

This page will be updated with the latest information and resources about the next generation of MOC.

How do you learn more?

MCTs should visit the MCT Download center and review the the following courses which have been released in final or beta format.
6451, 6420, 6421, 6424, 6425, 6429 and several others.

We are posting more resources to the MCT Download center over the next few days that will walk MCTs through the changes and provide tips on how to prepare and deliver.

FAQ

What’s the difference between the old MOC and the next generation MOC?

Our new MOC provides the same rich technical content that you’re accustomed to from past courseware in a new, tightly-focused user-friendly format. Course content is now integrated with online materials to ensure the richest learning experience for your students. Our course development process has also changed. We’ve built a feedback loop into our process so that we can incorporate the valuable input of Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT) and Certified Partners for Learning Solutions (CPLS) into each course before final release.

When will the first next generation courseware be available for order?

**

Course 6451: Planning, Deploying and Managing Microsoft

® System Center Configuration Manager 2007 is now available for order. All remaining courses will be available for order starting April 2008. ****

Are there any changes to the ordering process for new courses?

No. You can order student kits in the same manner that you are familiar with now. If you are a Microsoft Certified Trainer, you can continue to get all the preparation materials you need from the MCT Download Center.

What can MCTs do to prepare for changes in the courseware?

Encourage your MCTs to start by downloading the beta course materials from the MCT Download Center. Review all the content, including the student handbook and the digital content on the companion CD, and familiarize yourself with all the labs.

Is the trainer manual for the new courseware the same?

No. We’ve improved the instructor notes in this release of MOC and inserted them right into the notes area of the instructor PowerPoint

® slides. Because this valuable information is now included exactly where you need it, there is no longer a need for a separate trainer manual.
